Dr. Lorenza Celiberti

Dr. Lorenza Celiberti is an English-speaking clinical psychologist in Varese, specialised in psychodiagnostics. She receives patients in person in Varese and works online with people living elsewhere in Italy and abroad, in English and Italian, with people from 11 years old onwards, couples and families.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Social Intervention Psychology from the University of Parma and a Bachelor’s in Psychological Sciences and Techniques from the University of Chieti, and is completing advanced training in individual and group analytic psychotherapy at Nuova Clinica Nuovi Setting in Milan.

Psychodiagnostic assessment is her core competence: the administration and interpretation of the main validated instruments, producing an accurate picture of what is actually happening before decisions are made about what to do. She has conducted individual and group interviews, clinical documentation and assessments across therapeutic communities, educational settings and multidisciplinary teams.

She has additional specialised training in clinical sexology and in videogame therapy, which is unusual enough to explain. It uses video games as a clinical medium: a shared, low-pressure space where someone who does not want to sit and talk about themselves, typically an adolescent, can express what is going on and be met there. It is integrated with analytic psychotherapy, not offered instead of it.

She works with children, adolescents, adults and families, through emotional, relational and developmental difficulties, and describes her focus as supporting people through vulnerable moments rather than only through diagnosable ones.

You do not have to pick her yourself. Lorenza Celiberti does not work alone. She takes part in Therapsy’s internal clinical supervision, a standing group where therapists bring their most demanding cases, train together and ask for help when a situation calls for it. Every therapist in the network, Case Managers included, can turn to our Clinical Director for clinical questions and further training, and Therapsy runs regular professional training with senior therapists and external trainers. Scheduling, invoicing, payments and the rest of the paperwork are handled by Therapsy, so that her time with you stays clinical work and nothing else.
